Apple iPhone

Apple iPhone is really cool. It is an iPod, a Phone and an Internet Communicator.
It's a bit hard to imagine how cool it is without watching
the Macworld 2007 Keynote Address yourself.

Even a non gadget guy like me can't wait to have one in my pocket!

Too bad it will only be available in Asia in 2008...

I truly agree with you. From the outset, people will think this is just another PDA. IT IS NOT. I repeat. IT IS NOT. You will have to watch it yourself to find out why.

BTW, check this out. http://www.boomcounter.org/

If you watch the entire keynote, you will know what i mean.

Actually, I can't wait to get it as well. The user interface is truly remarkable and seems much more intuitive than the boring old stylus.

However, a few things I don't like:
1. Closed system/OS - cannot install additional stuff
2. Lack of 3G - In 2008, everyone will probably have this, tak syok lah if cannot do video calls.
3. Service provider lock - In US, only available to Cingular customers, die lah if come to Malaysia they a tie-in with Digi. How la Maxis subscriber like me can use it?

Anyway, all in all, it's a very exciting device. Surely some copycats will come very soon.

i_phony: I read an article, the author asked how long do u think it takes b4 the service provider lock is cracked? His guess is the next day after iPhone is available in the market.

I seldom sit there over more than one hour to watch something get launched.....

apple will not let it just lock to Cingular, sure someone will make it available as 'water product' real soon. kekekekeke

can't wait to get one too...what happened to my o2 XDA o2 then?
